Diggory Brown specialises in applying traditional kiltmaking techniques to create unique & contemporary Kilts & Accessories for Ladies.
We specialise in using locally woven Harris Tweed and Breanish Tweed in our designs. This enables us to work with weavers to select the colour and pattern of the cloth you would like your kilt made in.

There are two 'cuts' of kilts available for ladies & three 'styles' for either cut to be finished in.

'The Traditional' is tailored to sit around the waist across the belly button.

'The Hipster' is tailored to sit around the hips.

The length of each cut is determined by personal choice.

Either 'Cut' is then finished in one of the following styles:

Knife edged: An 'A - Line' apron forms the front of the kilt, with traditional, knife - edged pleats to the rear.
Roll pleated: An 'A - Line' apron forms the front of the kilt and the pleats to the rear are left un - pressed to create a 'rolled' effect.
Scalloped: A curved front apron forms the front of the garment and the pleats to the rear are pressed in a curve to create a feminine twist to a traditional garment.

All kilts use between 4 - 6 yards of your choice of cloth. The straps and buckles are all chosen individually to compliment your kilt.
All leather work is completed in house.
